CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - The anti-tax New Hampshire Advantage Coalition is trying to get enough signatures from voters in four cities to put spending cap proposals on the November ballot.

The coalition is targeting Concord, Manchester, Merrimack and Rochester in its first round of voter petitions to change the communities' charters. The coalition also plans to fight for caps in Bedford, Conway, Keene, Lebanon, Londonderry, Portsmouth and Somersworth.

The coalition wants to cap increases in property taxes to the annual inflation rate.

Coalition chairman Mike Biundo says the only way to keep the state's low tax advantage over other states is to hold the line on spending.
